Excellent. A game changer
Honestly, one of the best purchases I have ever made for video production. I’ve used it for videos, presentations, even interviewing. You easily stay focused on the camera while using your script. Adding the stream deck took it from excellent to Wow!Setup instructions not the greatest, but lots of videos and other info. Just remember to set your graphics to extended mode.

Great customer service. Original purchase was missing the L-Bracket & screw. New product was immediately replaced and worked perfectly. Terrible product
It took a lot of configuring for it to even “work” on my mac (my OS is updated). To get it to work I had to install multiple pieces of clunky software. It basically wanted full access to see my screen which seems insane to just use a teleprompter. Once I finally got it working the setting to use my microphone was basically unusable. It would work about 20% of the time. So my talent would ask me to scroll for her. Then I wouldn’t know how much to scroll because what was on my screen doesn’t match what’s on the teleprompter. Just a complete disaster of a product. Immediately returned it. Going to use an ipad app + prompter instead as works much better. I’m a very tech savy user so it’s uncommon for me to have this much trouble. Frustration level 9000 using this product.

Good not great.
I’m giving it a four star review because there’s still a glare problem when using this on my Panasonic S1H, for the price it looks really really good when you’re using the Teleprompter, but if you’re using the screen as a secondary screen for like a video call, there is a glare that is really bad and you have to turn it down all the way to a point where you can’t even see the person you’re talking to.That’s the only drawback.

Not only is this easy to setup, but it’s easy to use. This is the second one I’ve purchased because I love to use them on Zoom calls so that I can look right at the people I’m talking to. The teleprompter software is great as well and the voice sync technology really helps prevent you from needing to buy a clicker or pedal to scroll the text. Huge fan of these teleprompters

I was concerned when I unpacked it that the small screen might be challenging to see at a good focal length distance. I’ve used it a few times with no issues. My one improvement would be to allow a TXT file import vs cut and paste import.

REVISED : Softwae SUCKS!
REVISED: Deleted software from Mac. Still have Elgato coming up as toggle on security settings. I WANT TO QUIT YOU ELGATO!!!! Ridiculous!Very easy set-up right out of the box. Put it on a tri-pod (not included) and was ready to go fairly quickly.Display is bright and easy to see. The whole thing feels really cheaply made, but I don’t intend on moving it around a lot, so probably not too big a concern.The software is trash. On the scroll mode, the fastest is way slower than how I actually talk. They have a voice prompt feature that will scroll as you speak, but it’s very klunky. Also, I loaded the software on my Macbook, and it created some issues with its Quick Time Player. Feel like they load a bunch of spyware on the machine as they need camera (not sure why) and voice. Anyways, it didn’t play nicely with the Apple ecosystem.The solution I found was a third-party telepromt software. I then just use the Prompter as a 3rd screen and run the software on that screen. Works well, but it’s another $100/year I wasn’t planning on spending.Not sure how I feel about it at this time. Was hoping for an out of the box solution. But after some tinkering, I think it will do the trick. Just know that the software may take some getting used to or just might need to be replace with a different solution.

The Elgato Prompter has been an absolute game changer for me! As someone who films a lot of scripted content, I always struggled with memorising lines while maintaining eye contact with the camera. With the Elgato Prompter, I can smoothly scroll through my lines, keeping my focus on my audience. Being able to adjust the font size and scroll speed is a really nice feature and allows me to go at my own pace. When I’m not filming content, it’s super easy to use the Prompter as another screen, or to display my chat when I’m streaming.The initial setup did take me a bit of time as the prompter was a bit larger than I anticipated, but once I got the positioning worked out, it was seamless to connect it to my camera and set it up through the Elgato Camera Hub software.If you’re a content creator or streamer looking to level up your setup, definitely check out the Elgato Prompter. I honestly didn’t realise how helpful it would be, and now I can’t imagine making content without it.

I have struggled to keep on track with my videos narrative for a while, and after checking out some other reviews on the Elgato Prompter I decided it was time to take the plunge.Setup was easy, I am using it with a Sony ZV-E10 it unfortunately needs a different lens to clip the prompter directly to utilise the included accessories, but the shroud does a great job of keeping out external light.The quality is very good as you would expect from Elgato, and it works seamlessly, the unit connects via USB C to USB A on the PC end, this provides power to the unit.The Elgato prompter is good value when compared to units requiring a seperate display, initial impressions are good, but the software does take some getting used to, the Stream Deck integration is awesome and made it simpler to scroll through whilst filming, the AI narrative function I couldn’t get working consistently.Overall, very good initial impressions.

I got this so i could use it to read my scripts for Youtube. I struggled with memorizing the script when filming, so the Elgato Prompter is perfect for this! I absolutely love the voice sync function, makes reading the text on the screen super easy and natural. It was easy to set up and i also use the Elgato Master Mount for the Prompter and it works great!

Pretty easy to figure out, works well. Doesn’t have camera lens mounts for ALL lens sizes but you don’t need to use them.I figured out my own way to make it work with a cheap USB pedal from amazon instead of buying the overpriced Elgato pedal.
