Listen Up, Seniors!
If you hate grubby corners (behind all those plants, dog beds, small tables, chairs, magazine baskets that it’s just so hard to move while jostling around a 20+pound vacuum and heavy, noisy powerhead), and you hate the racket your canister or upright vacuum makes (and your pets hate it, too!), try out this amazing little machine! Vacuuming has never been so much fun!I first purchased the Eufy 11S after doing MUCH research and spending time communicating with Eufy. (They have wonderful, responsive personnel!) Took all of two minutes to get it out of the box, set it up (attach brushes) and get it on the charger. I let it charge overnight. The next morning I hit the “perimeter button” and off it went! I scooted around in front of it, pulling baskets, dog crates, cat scratching pads, shoes, plants, magazine baskets away from the edges of the wall while it came along after me and cleaned places I probably haven’t reached in ….some time! First time around, one dog (8 lb Papillon) hid in the next room; the other (12 lb poodle mix) followed it around. (Allowed two perimeter runs the first time since some places hadn’t been done in ages and I just wanted to make sure!) Then hit the “automatic” button and as it made its way around the room, I replaced stuff along the walls. How easy could that be?!Although there’s no need to move everything every time I vacuum, it’s so easy that I often find myself moving alot! (36 years of “accumulation” – aka “clutter” here). If the phone rings, no need to shut off the vacuum; it’s no louder than a desk fan and I can easily talk on the phone or listen to the news on TV.My 2000 sq’ cape home has mostly medium height carpeting (a combination of cut pile/berber), even in the kitchen and dining areas (breakfast area and formal dining room). It also has tile (hallways, bathrooms), hardwood (two of three bedrooms) and brick (family room) with a large area rug. Eufy tackles it all! It’s little “corner” brushed do scatter the birdseed on the bricks, but it seems to manage to pick it all up eventually as it makes several passes in every area when on “auto”. The amount of pet hair (and my hair!) it picks up is astounding, as is the amount of fine dust it captures. (I have allergies and this is a blessing!!)Yes, I do clean the brush roller and the dust bin frequently (usually with every “full time” vacuuming; this vacuum will last at least an hour unless I put it on the half hour “single room” cycle). The dust bin empties easily into the trash without dust flying all over the place; with the included brush and a couple of strokes, I gently brush off the filter and haven’t yet replaced any. It takes a couple of minutes to slice through the hair wound around the brush roller and pick it off using the included “comb” and my fingers. (Ok — don’t like the idea? When was the last time you cleaned the brushes on your big vacuum’s powerhead to ensure its efficiency??) So easy to do this with a little vac that you can set on the kitchen counter. (Turn off the power switch on the bottom first.) Three minutes to clean it up, turn back on, set near the base and send it “home”, wipe off the kitchen counter and you’re done. No need to struggle to get the canister vac, it’s heavy power head and wand and hose back into a closet somewhere! Need it upstairs? Carry it up under one arm (don’t forget the remote). It’s never fallen down the stairs.Because I’m retired and can be home, I haven’t yet used the wifi function, other than to set it up (easy).Because Eufy is so quiet and convenient, I vacuum the most used areas much more often than I would with my heavy conventional vacuums. There is probably no doubt that the suction on the canister or upright is stronger, but because I use Eufy so often (up to several times a week in high traffic areas), my husband is commenting that the rugs look cleaner. No time for shoes to grind leaves and dirt into the carpeting! (And no, my family does NOT remove shoes; and the two dogs and a long-haired cat are in and out on our large yard frequently.)The magnetic strips that come with this unit can be helpful when I have last-minute company coming for dinner so I let Eufy loose while I’m cooking and want it in that area but not under my feet. Otherwise, I simply close doors to keep it where I want it.I’ve learned how to position chairs around the dining tables (two tables with a total of 10 chairs) so Eufy can scoot around legs and under the rungs, doing a great job of cleaning under everything. It only got stuck once (hung up on a wire dog crate handle), so I’ve adjusted that. And it easily finds its way back to the base if I guide it back to the right end of the house (using the remote) when I’m done in the more distant regions.I have now “loaned” the 11 S to another family member who has little time for house-cleaning and can use Eufy’s help! (Her dogs are 70 pounds!) I purchased the 30C. The extra suction makes bird-seed pickup faster (lol). Both units do a great job! I would recommend either! I like the digital display on the 11S remote so you know what mode you’re currently using. And now the dogs ignore it, as you can see where our poodle-mix yawns as Eufy vacuums around her dog bed.

A+ Experience So Far
Initial Review (10/13/24): I got this bc I was in the market for a robot vacuum. I’d had a verrrrry early version of one not long after they came out & it was more of a hassle than it was worth. I’m giving it another try bc I have a house with a large open-concept floor plan + 2 cats & it’s very important to me that my floors are clean but vacuuming/sweeping & *then* mopping was killing my back. I looked up the best options on Popular Mechanics & saw Eufy was on there. I own a ton of Anker & SoundCore products over the past 20 years, so I was comfortable with this brand & price point ($269 in early Oct. 2024). I wasn’t paying $800 for a vacuum. Initial run, it mapped the space & then I ran it to vacuum. It emptied itself like 4 times bc there was a lot of cat hair to get up 😬. I ran it again the next day & it got every corner of the house (that’s not up or down steps) and reeeeally close to the baseboards. Emptied itself twice & went back home with about 26% battery left. I like the self-cutting feature bc I do have long curly hair (even though it doesn’t do the bathroom; up 1 step) on top of hair from 2 cats. I have hardwood floor, low-pile rugs, an indoor/outdoor runner & a couple of thicker textured rugs. It had no issues getting up & over and increasing suction based on what was in front of it. It did suck up a sock from under the bed & I had to free it but that was no issue. It did a great job & freed me up to do the part I *actually* like, which is mopping. I use a set of natural floor cleaners that make the house smell amazing. I set the app to clean all 5 rooms in a specific order which allows me to mop in that order after it goes back home. So far, I’m very pleased with this, but I do want folks to understand this is sophisticated machinery that’s not set it & forget it. You’ll need to pick stuff up off of your floor so it can get to things. I put my kitchen table chairs up on the table like restaurants do at the end of the night to help it, help me. It’s round, so it’s going to miss some tight corners/narrow spaces. Following with manual mopping ensures those corners are clean despite this expected imperfection. Its clearance is decent & gets under almost all my furniture except a very low bookshelf & coffee table. Mopping handles cleaning these areas just fine. Is it a little loud? Yeah, but vacuums are loud. It is quieter than my manual plug-in Bissell stick vacuum, however, which is a hoss & is very loud. I take really good care of home appliances so I expect the longevity to be long with proper maintenance. Your mileage will vary based on how well you take care of it & give this device space to do its job. Will update my review in maybe 6 months. My expectations are high for Anker & their suite of brands, so hoping it’s still all good. Not including map photos for privacy reasons but the lines are verrrryyy satisfying!

Short lived, do not recommend – UPDATE
Update: their customer service is the best I’ve encountered! They reached out to me and refunded me for the trouble. Since the product was amazing until it broke, I’ll be looking for a new one but will stick with the Eufy brand!I was in love with this device when I got it. It was a great automated vacuum that mapped the area, knew what to avoid, the settings were great for me, and it vacuumed everything in one go. My apartment is mostly carpeted and it did ok. The noise was not too bad and I used it 1-2 times a week.I also got the automated emptying device which was collecting the dust but did not cut hair at all. It was a nice addition but I’m not sure I would have bought it again.Recently, less than 6 months after it started “getting stuck” every few feet with no obstructions. I find myself having to be home and right by it so I can simply ask it to restart every few minutes. It is no longer serving its purpose for me.Great product, but it’s way too expensive to buy a new one every 6 months. Look elsewhere if you don’t want to get disappointed.

This thing is great we have 2 super shedder dogs that blow their coats in the spring and running this every 12 hours has really kept the dog fur tumbleweeds to a minimum. We have always had issues keeping up with the fur output but it’s taken care of now. The hair cutter also works great never any hair or fur wrapped around the bristles just the very ends need to be cleaned once a week or so,The only cons I see are on max power the battery drains over 1% a minute if you have a larger house you will need to run the power lower or it will need to recharge in between rooms. The filter on the dustbin is also a little on the small side so it will require cleaning more often. Likewise the dust bags in the base are not huge so we nearly filled it in a week vs the advertised 60 days when the dogs were shedding this spring. The base is also loud, like industrial shop vac loud when emptying the robot. With that said it still gets 5 stars from me, it cleans the tons of dog fur incredibly well, the app works good. It avoids everything it could get stuck/tangled in. Running it on the second highest suction it still cleans just as good and has 50% battery left when done as we have alot of hard floor. The self emptying works great just a little loud, the hair cutter works excellent and it goes at least a week without any intervention, 10 minutes of cleaning the robot a week for all the hours of vacuuming is a great trade. Will be looking at the Eufy X10 Omni in the near future when we want a mopping robot!

This is by far our best purchase in 2019. ‘Eufy the Cleaner’ works as advertised and more….we are a ‘techy’ family so the boys were glad to see the latest addition to our home collection. Eufy works pretty well. Set up was a breeze and the additional replacements parts included in the box was pretty impressive.Device has been cleaning the entire house every 2 days in the past 10 days or so since we started using it….I will definitely stay with eufy for the robovac consideration….only wished the battery could last longer after a full charge…I also think users should be provided with more boundary strips and maybe longer as well.Good product so far and comes highly recommended.

Excelente.

Our very first droid ! We named it Rosie and gave it some googly eyes! She looks super extra but she’s actually pretty basic. She does her job without complaint but sometimes she gets scared and will beep until you rescue her.The cats are determined to kill her broom but she doesn’t seem to mind. They turn her on when she sleeping but she just goes right back to bed.She doesn’t mop or self empty but she sure does suck 😂 I have a high end German canister vacuum (not a Dyson, those things are trash) that I now use to empty Rosie’s chamber lol. It’s shocking how much dust there is to collect every day . I’m grateful for the entertainment and freeing of time Rosie has brought to our home 🩷The value for money with this unit is amazing. It really does have incredible suction and hardly ever gets stuck. I was worried about floor transitions but it’s not an issue for this unit. After the first use I was horrified at the amount of dirt this thing collected but now that it’s been running for several weeks it’s a reasonable amount of daily dirt lol. We have two cats and three dogs and this things keeps the floor spec free ! My only regret it that I didn’t buy one sooner. If you want a no nonsense droid that isn’t spying on you with a camera this is the one!
