My wife and I enjoy a nice cup of tea and wanted something we could use when friends and family come over that is a bit nicer than our awesome mug collection and individual tea bags (nothing wrong with that) for sharing a “fancy” tea. This set was the design my wife liked the best so in to the Amazon cart it went. The set arrived in a very well packed box, nothing was moving in there it was so snug in polystyrene. The whole set looks gorgeous, holds enough tea for at least the 6 included cups, possibly more if you’re like my family and use more cream in your tea. Got this for around $90 and it was definitely a great price for what we got. I haven’t (and don’t want to) sturdiness tested any of the dishes, they seem like they’d survive maybe a few inches onto the table, but doubt they’d take a full fledged fall to the floor.

There are sharp edges on some of the porcelain and holder and spoons
I think the set is quite beautiful. However, one of the rings on the bottom of a saucer and some of the demitasse spoon’s edges were sharp. Also, the cup holder had sharp places especially on the bottom and it is too light to stay upright if a few cups and saucers are removed from it and it isn’t perfectly balanced.
