When I crashed on the now abandoned desert hellscape of Amartius Prime, a desert planet that chews ships up and eats them for breakfast, I expected to die. But I woke up changed. Changed in the same way as the colony’s survivors. As I live with and learn more about them, I can’t help but be drawn to the tall blue alien and his black scaled friend regardless of the plague still inside us. Maybe there’s a way to find happiness on this planet after all.
