How do I tighten or loosen the head strap?

The purge valve may need a good cleaning. You can remove the purge valve and wash in warm soapy water rinsing in clear. Doing this will ensure the flange on the purge valve seals properly and is not hindered by chlorine crystals or debris.
How do you exhale, through your nose, or are you supposed to wear a nose clip and exhale out of your mouth?
You can exhale through your mouth with/without using a nose clip.
